What F1 Means
WHICH MACHINES THIS APPLIES TO: F1 is a TD60-generation code, and specifically the panel Asko's service manual calls panel type 1, used on the TD60.1. It is not part of the Logic and heat-pump dryers' E-series. On panel type 2 the same condition is shown without a code at all - the service manual says "the light to the left of the start button flashes" instead.
WHAT F1 MEANS: the service manual's cause column reads "The condensation water tank is full." Its action is "Empty the container and restart the machine." The display shows F1 flashing.
WHY A CONDENSER DRYER STOPS FOR THIS: the machine does not vent moisture outside. It condenses the water out of the air and collects it in a container that you empty. When that container is full there is nowhere for the next load's water to go, so the dryer stops. It is doing exactly what it should.
CLASSIFICATION: normal status. Nothing has failed, no part is involved, and the machine has told you the one thing you need to know.
Common Causes of F1
- Condensation water container full
- Container not pushed fully home after emptying
- Container emptied but the level detection not resetting
- Float or micro switch that detects a full container faulty
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Slide the condensation water container out, tip it away, and put it back, making sure it seats fully - a container pushed most of the way home can leave the machine still reporting full. Then restart the machine, which is the manual's instruction. If the dryer is stopping for this far more often than it used to, that is worth noticing rather than just emptying it more frequently: on the TD60 generation a machine that takes longer to dry each load condenses water over a longer cycle, and the usual reason for longer cycles is a fluff filter or a condenser that needs cleaning. Let the machine cool before you clean either. If the container is genuinely not full and F1 is still showing, the float or switch that detects the level is the remaining explanation, and that is a service matter.

- None - emptying and refitting the condensation water container is ordinary use and is exactly what the manual asks for.
