What E34 Means
WHICH MACHINES THIS APPLIES TO: the E-series belongs to the Asko Logic, Pro Home, Craft and Elements washers - models such as W2084, W4086, W6088X and the WM75 series. On these the display shows "Error" and the number; holding the INFO button brings up the description text, and EXIT returns to the main menu. The earlier W6xxx machines do not use E-codes at all; they show F10, F11 and F12, which are separate entries here.
WHICH MACHINES SPECIFICALLY: the Asko washers fitted with the Auto Dose System. AD2 is Asko's label for the second dosing container.
WHAT E34 MEANS: the description text is "AD2 DETERGENT LEVEL SENSOR ERROR" - the same fault as E33 on the other container. Asko's published action is to restart the programme, and to call a service technician if it repeats.
WHAT IS BEING MEASURED: how much liquid is left in the container, which is what the machine uses to tell you when a refill is due. It is separate from the dosing pumps, which have their own codes.
CLASSIFICATION: fault, in the dosing system's monitoring rather than in the wash. A restart is the first response the manufacturer publishes.
Common Causes of E34
- Level sensor in the AD2 container failed
- Container not seated correctly
- Dried detergent or softener fouling the sensor area
- Container overfilled above its mark
- Wiring or connector to the sensor damaged
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Restart the programme as the manual asks. Before that, check the simple things that produce the same result: the container seated fully, the cap closed squarely, no overfilling above the mark, and no dried detergent around the neck or the sensor area. If the container was recently refilled with a different product, note it, because a noticeably thicker or thinner liquid can change what the sensor reads. If the code returns after the restart, call - that is Asko's instruction. Until then the machine washes normally with detergent or softener added by hand to the manual drawer. Do not open the dispenser housing; it sits inside the front of the cabinet and its wiring runs in the machine's mains loom, so it is not a job that starts with removing a panel.
