What E32 Means
WHICH MACHINES THIS APPLIES TO: the E-series belongs to the Asko Logic, Pro Home, Craft and Elements washers - models such as W2084, W4086, W6088X and the WM75 series. On these the display shows "Error" and the number; holding the INFO button brings up the description text, and EXIT returns to the main menu. The earlier W6xxx machines do not use E-codes at all; they show F10, F11 and F12, which are separate entries here.
WHICH MACHINES SPECIFICALLY: the Asko washers fitted with the Auto Dose System.
WHAT E32 MEANS: the description text is "PERISTALTIC PUMP 2 ERROR" - the second of the two dosing pumps that move detergent and softener from the refillable containers into the machine. Asko's published action is "Call a service technician."
WHAT ASKO HAS NOT PUBLISHED: which container pump 2 serves. The manual numbers the pumps without saying which is detergent and which is softener, and we are not going to assign them. What you can observe is which of your two containers has stopped going down, and that is the piece of information a technician actually wants.
WHY THE TUBE IS USUALLY THE SUSPECT: a peristaltic pump works by squeezing liquid along a flexible tube with rollers. The tube takes all the wear and all the chemistry, and thick or dried detergent is hard on it.
CLASSIFICATION: fault, in the dosing system. The washing side of the machine is unaffected.
Common Causes of E32
- Peristaltic pump motor failed
- Pump tube collapsed, perished or blocked with dried detergent
- Wiring or connector to the pump damaged
- Control unit not driving the pump
- Detergent too thick, or dried in the line after standing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
There is no published owner check, and the pump is inside the cabinet, so there is nothing to open and nothing to reset. What is worth doing is observing: note which container has stopped emptying, whether the detergent in it has thickened, and when in relation to the last refill the code first appeared. Check that the container is seated properly and its cap closed squarely, and wipe any dried detergent from the neck. Until it is repaired, dose detergent and softener into the manual drawer by hand and wash as normal. Do not take the dispenser assembly apart to look at the tube: it is inside the front of the cabinet, its wiring runs in the machine's mains loom, and the washer has to be isolated at the outlet or the breaker before any of that is opened.

- Asko publishes no owner procedure for this component, only an instruction to call a service technician.
- The dosing pumps and their wiring are inside the cabinet in the same loom as the mains supply.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
