What E13.2 Means
WHICH MACHINES THIS APPLIES TO: the E-series belongs to the Asko Logic, Pro Home, Craft and Elements washers - models such as W2084, W4086, W6088X and the WM75 series. On these the display shows "Error" and the number; holding the INFO button brings up the description text, and EXIT returns to the main menu. The earlier W6xxx machines do not use E-codes at all; they show F10, F11 and F12, which are separate entries here. Sub-codes are written with a decimal point, so this one reads 13.2 rather than 132.
WHAT E13.2 MEANS: the description text is "INERTIA ERROR", and Asko's published action is the same as for the unbalance code: "Manually distribute the laundry and run the spinning program."
WHAT INERTIA HAS TO DO WITH LAUNDRY: the control works out how much load it is turning from how the drum responds when it drives it - how hard it is to accelerate and how it slows down. That measurement is the machine's idea of the load's mass and how it is spread. An inertia error means the answer it got did not match anything it could spin safely, which is usually a load bunched into one mass or an item that has wound itself into a tight rope on one side.
WHY ASKO GIVES IT THE SAME ANSWER AS THE UNBALANCE CODE: because the remedy is the same. Spread the load and the measurement changes.

Common Causes of E13.2
- Load wound into a single rope or bundle
- Large item such as a duvet cover with the rest of the load inside it
- Single heavy item washed alone
- Machine not standing level on all four feet
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Open the door and take the load apart by hand. Anything that has wound itself into a rope - a duvet cover with everything else inside it is the classic - needs unwinding and shaking out before it goes back. Spread what is left in loose heaps around the drum rather than in one mass, and run the spinning programme, which is the published instruction. If you are washing one heavy item on its own, add two or three towels so it has something to balance against. Check the machine stands firm on all four feet with no rock. That is the whole job: there is nothing to open, nothing to reset and no part involved.

- None - unwinding and redistributing the laundry is ordinary use and is what the manual asks for.
